Life is a Highway - All day long!

Louisiana...Our first state "hop" of the day. It was cool to see all the swamps along the highway. We spent the day listening to all kinds of music to decide on our Camp Song for this trip.  I think we've decided on "Life is a Highway, all [day] long!" We stopped at this Welcome Sign along with two motorcycle riders, and before long there was a line of people waiting to be photographed. Who knew it was such a popular thing to do?

Mississippi...was our 2nd real stop (non-bathroom only) at the Crackle Barrel, and our waitress' name was Coco (actually "Cocovaughn") and her Mississippi accent was fascinating mostly to Jacob.  We asked her lots of questions to keep her talking.  A full day of good music and car games has left the boys with the feeling that this is, so far, an awesome vacation.  Our 8-hour trip to Milton, Mississippi only took 12 hours, so as we drove into the Holiday Inn Express parking lot, Jacob exclaimed "Hallelujah", to which Caden answered, "God is Gracious!"  I'm blogging this at 9:10 a.m. and behind me the boys are having an outrageous pillow fight that Gramps is egging on.  Side note, it was too late last night to get our Welcome to Alabama or Florida Sign photos, so we will try to catch them on the way home.  Disney, here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
